Touchpad mouse problem - help me!

Hi all, 

I have a Debian sarge (kernel 2.4.25) installed in my HP Pavilion ze4500
laptop. Everything wak working fine. But, yesterday my touchpad mouse
stopped running. When I boot my system the mouse doesn't work.

Then, I try to run the follow command:

cat /proc/interrupts

and my mouse isn't showed. When I boot my system with the Knoppix Live
CD,  mouse works fine and it is showed in "cat /proc/interrupts".

Can anyone help or give any hint about this?
