I just upgraded to 2.6.5 and have little trouble understanding when hotplug takes care of things and when you should be adding modules to /etc/modules yourself. For instance, parport and partport_pc were automatically loaded, but lp was not. 8250 (serial port) was not loaded, but I think serial_core was. /Allan -- Allan Wind P.O.
