Problems installing sid. CD boot up crashes.
I burned CD 1 of the 4/2/04 version of sid from ftp.fsn.hu. The debian boot
up screen comes up with the boot: prompt.
I hit return and the boot up crashes before the debian installer is run.
The following message is repeated many times:
attemp to access beyone the end of device
01:00 rw=0. want=8318, limit=8192
This is after (I believe) an attempt to install a ram disk image into a ram
disk.
What am I doing wrong? Is sid broken? How do I install debian unstable?
Thanks,
Brian McRae
