Uh.. What are you talking about?  Lots of graphical applications need to be 
executed as root.   Please read my post again.   I gave a specific example 
where logging into KDE as root would have helped me a lot.  (Basically, a 
udev bug which prevented me from using a terminal emulator or kdesu/gtksu 
from a user account.)
