1. RTFM. The Linux Kernel documentation does tell you the difference.
If you're lazy, just use the process of elimination.
2. If you're going to subscribe to the digest, it's recommended that
you use a MUA (mail reader) or MDA (mail sorter) that will split
the digest into individual messages.
3. Never reply to a message to start a thread. Just email the list.
