USB id 3 (don't have a clue what this really means - DHCP ish).

Scsi device:
/dev/sd[a-z][1-9]*

You'll need the usb-storage module as well as sd_mod - if they aren't
compiled in.

I've seen it working - I personally use automount but the Mandrake
systems in college use hotplug and *generally* work.
