Similar question; does *ANY* distribution need all the CDs that it occupy? I 
know for a fact that you only need a subset of the CDs in SuSE. For that 
matter, the DVD release of SuSE has 2 discs (actually sides, now), but you 
only need 1 of them to do most installs.

I think this is actually normal.
