I've just been banging on this for ages and I'm posting to help anyone else who comes across the same problem: Problem: Home and End keys do not work in xterm when using the command-line history. I hit up-arrow to recall a previous command line, want to go to the beginning of it, hit Home and nothing happens. (Yes, I know about Ctrl-A, but Home is more convenient.) Bog standard xterm in woody, TERM=xterm, blackbox for WM. Solution: Add a line XTerm*appcursorDefault: true to /etc/X11/Xresources/xbase-clients, then restart X. -- Pigeon Be kind to pigeons Get my GPG key here: http://pgp.mit.edu:11371/pks/lookup?op=get&search=0x21C61F7F
