PROBLEMS WITH QUAKE 3

Yeah, I need you help badly.  I downloaded Quake 3 from this guy's 
server and it's awesome, one thing, I can't quit out of it!  I must 
have pressed the esc key ten million times it won't let me go!  What 
the hell?  Is there some way to fix that?
