test CD integrity problems

Hi!

I created a sarge CD1 with jigdo, using this URL :

http://gluck.debian.org/cdimage/testing/cd/jigdo-area/i386/sarge-i386-1.jigdo

on 2-mar-2004

At the end it checked the sum and reported it is ok. The md5sum of the iso image
is :
98158582437dbfe5ee6f313854e0c541 sarge-i386-1.iso

When I booted the CD, I choose "test CD integrity" and it failed quickly (
without reading the whole CD )

Then it did some re-detecting of my hardware and only then could I continue with
install. Why was the HW redetected ? Is that normal or some bug ?

Regards,
David
