Go trove around sourceforge for ideas.

If your prof is clueful, you might ask for a hint.  If it's anything
like most of the local OpSys profs, your class will be propaganda
about Windows and you should just take your money elsewhere and stop
payment to that school before you lose some serious money on a
worthless education.
