Do you mean it works despite the fatal error??  Or that it doesn't
work?

I don't have it installed, but wmsetbg should accept the ``-display
<foo>'' option or an equivalent; replace <foo> with the actual name of
the display to change the wallpaper in; just examine the $DISPLAY
environment variable from within a running X session.  If you have just
one local X session at any given time, it probably will be ``:0''.  If
you have a more complicated setup, looking @ /proc/`pidof
some-X-app`/environ should do.
