Help: PCMCIA problems on 2.2 -> 2.4 kernel upgrade
Anyone able to help on this one?
I used the Debian bootdisk 2.2.20-idepci kernel to set up on an old
laptop (Toshiba Tecra 740CDT). I wanted to compile my own kernel,
tried the 2.4.23 kernel. I used the kernel PCMCIA drivers, but
although the 2.2.20 PCMCIA modules worked perfectly (hence I can send
this email out to the world), the 2.4.23 modules give the following
error:
3c589_cs: RequestIRQ: Resource in use
Now, I've looked at the PCMCIA-HOWTO, but it doesn't make that much
sense to me. Does anyone have any practical ideas about what I can do
to either debug the modules or, better still, to fix the problem?
Here's a piece of the kernel log file; it might help. I can provide
other details on request.

Thanks!
