Hello all, I am looking to install Debian on an old laptop. This machine cannot boot from the CDROM drive, and the floppy drive is unreliable. Is it possible to use Loadlin to bootstrap the Debian installation? I copied loadlin.exe, the kernel and root.bin to the target machine's HD and I did: loadlin linux root=/dev/ram ro initrd=root.bin which is straight from boot.bat on the Debian CD. But the kernel can't find the root FS. What gives?
