Debian is just as easy to install, you just need to read the manual.
It's on the CD as well as on debian.org (hit Installation Manual in
the column). A trained monkey can install Debian.

Much, much harder. Allow about a month and intimate knowledge of both
Red Hat and Debian before even thinking about that.
