I think you are barking up the wrong tree.  AFAIK, ADSL in this country uses
PPPoA, not PPPoE.  The thing to do (after undoing the things you've done
above) is to connect to your router via the Ethernet card in order to
configure it (the router).  I suggest you consult your router documentation.
