Authur Clark said in the book "3001" (sci-fi; but you know Clark) that 1 
petabyte would be enough to store all human's mental activity for 100 
years.  I think google has about 1 petabyte of indexes (with redundancy, 
saw it on slashdot way back).

I don't think it will happen in my lifetime, but I think within about 
300 years people won't have to die anymore.  I just want to live to 700, 
that's all.
