You can also alien convert the rpm supplied on the Bradley page to a
deb and install that.  This happens to be the Red Hat 5.2 version in
this case.  Alien (I used 8.34) does a good job of converting this
package.

  fakeroot alien --to-deb xv-3.10a-13.i386.rpm
