Please don't top-post.  Snip the relevant portions of the message to
which you're replying and put your text *after* that, for easier
readability.

I'm not an expert, but I'm pretty sure that usb hubs, just like usb
devices, can't just be configured to 2.0 -- they have to be built that
way.  So, if the hub's the problem, you would need to get a usb 2.0 hub
in order to take advantage of 2.0 speeds.

But like I said, I'm not an expert.  If your windows system is also
using the same hub and getting faster speeds, there's something else
going on.
