Can anyone provide history on why CONFIG_IP_FORWARD no longer exists in the kernel config. The function is now controlled with /proc/sys/net/ipv4/ip_forward - is this correct? Maybe some googling hints? I am reading modem, ppp, dialin howtos. I came across the change as a result of reading those docs.
