Big Problem ? With APT-GET Database

Hi,

After just upgrading woody to testing i ran into this issue that doesn't
go away this time. Whatever i do with apt-get the errormessage below is
shown and this time it isn't fixed by any apt-get or dpkg commands.

j-box:/home/joris# apt-get install hdparm
Reading Package Lists... Error!
E: Dynamic MMap ran out of room
E: Error occured while processing demudi-modtrack (NewFileVer1)
E: Problem with MergeList /var/lib/dpkg/status
E: The package lists or status file could not be parsed or opened.

Can someone please give me some feedback on what's wrong or on what to
do ?
