Also, most (all?) newer drives have low-level acoustic management
settings. When I upgraded the HD in my TiVO with an IBM/Hitachi drive,
I was concerend with noise levels so I used the "Feature Tool" from
<http://www.hgst.com/hdd/support/download.htm>, this might work with
other brands too.
