For that much RAM, nowadays, I'd have swap.  If you have a GB
on a home machine, I'm sure that swap isn't necessary.

Bah!  Real OSs stress hardware, but there's nothing special about
Linux per se.

Libranet is nice, especially w/ KDE.

I can't make you have an abortion, but you can *make* me pay
