Apologies for that.

Freqtweak version 0.5.2-1, compiled untouched from source.
libwxgtk2.4 version 2.4.1.2, from Debian archives.

Running Debian 3.0r0 with some unstable libraries.
Kernel 2.4.18 home compiled.

I sent that a bit hastily.  I'm inclined to blame my own system rather
than a bug.  Would you say this is the case?
