Gnome 2.2 frozen on startup
Hi all:
After an upgrade this morning of some small packages, like sylpheed-claws
and some libraries, Gnome refusses to start after the displaying the
Window manager icon in the gnome 'openup square'. I have been trying to
identify what the problem is and it has something to do with the Xserver,
but I can't find the problem. From the output of startx I can see that
there is a problem with the RADEON engine. The screen freezes completely
but I am still able to reboot properly my pressing crtl-alt-F1
ctrl-alt-del... I cannot start neither with gdm nor with a normal startx.
I am starting to be a bit desperate and I do not know where else to
look... any ideas? This is all the info I have:
