Re: Trying to setup a wireless keyboard + mouse

Hello Florian,

I'm not using gpm, no. My understanding of gpm is that is mostly a software to let you use a mouse in a console; since I use my mouse exclusively in X, I never bothered to install gpm.

I didn't think of tailing /dev/input/mice while moving the mouse. I'm at the office right now, I'll try that once I get back at home. I can tail /dev/input/mice from here, but it'd take rather long arms to move the mouse :)

Thanks for answering,

Jeff

Hm, looking good so far, I think.

Do you use gpm on the console?

Do you get anything when you do a 'cat /dev/input/mice' and move the
mouse a little bit?

Cheers,
Flo
