years since I tried it out but I think I will have a look again & see
how far along it is. I still like the "IDEA" of how it works but it was
not ready for production systems last time I checked.

Aren't you forgetting that it's really Debian/GNU/BSD Linux? Without the
BSD networking stuff it wouldn't work at all....
