Hmm, I wonder if there might be a problem with the apt.conf file after
all. I have pasted mine below, note that Acquire is on the top level and
not under APT!
Acquire {

Proxy "http://pixs.htc.nl.philips.com:8080";
};
};
APT {
Default-Release "unstable";
Get::Purge "true";
Cache-Limit 25165824;
};
