Might well be, although I don't think so. At least that woule be more
understandable than blaming it on the swap file. :) The
two-times-the-physical-RAM rule is a recommendation, nothing more.
Maybe take a look at /proc/net/sockstat after the system has been up some
time.

Sounds more like "all sockets in use" than "my swapfile is too big".
