AW: bootcd questions

Hi,
I wrote a new cd and booted with it...the first error is :

cpio : /var/........ read-only filesystem
loading modules.... /var/log/ksymoops...... read-only filesystem
.
.
.
.
.

I think the /var was mounted read-only...

I have NOT_TO_RAM=""
Why is the var being mounted read-only???

Hm, sounds like a misburned cd... Do you use cdrw media? I just
discovered a similar problem with an old cdrw. Try another cdrw.

Who told you that it uses vmlinuz instead of $SRCDISK/boot/bzImage? The
warning message says that it would like to read /boot/vmlinuz<version>.
But you use your own kernel. It's only a warning, ignore it ;-) But to
verify it you could look at /var/log/bootcdwrite.log. Somewhere there
should be following line:
KERNEL /mnt/boot/bzImage

So long
Thomas
