Blackbox is defentally set as the > defualt. Kde is your default session manager. You can have X run your window manager instead by writing an ~/.xsession file. Something like: exec /usr/bin/blackbox or you could do: exec /usr/bin/x-window-manager so that it would use the default debian window manager. Bijan
