+ and * in update-alternatives' output

The '+' indicates the "best" available alternative; that is, the one
with the highest priority.  The * indicates the alternative you have
selected.  On a system giving the output shown above, x-session-manager
would start gnome-session.

If you were to run 'update-alternatives --auto x-session-manager', kde3
would be chosen, since it has the highest priority.
