And there's a reason most CD players don't read discs that don't have
a table of contents.  If you use a CDRW instead, you can just copy
everything over, blank it, and remaster.  Takes roughly as much effort
as adding something to a CD that hasn't been closed.

If the CD burner won't play it without it being closed, this is a
pretty big hint.
