How about doing a bit of research and actually looking up the current US
regulations? The fact is that it is perfectly legal to put Free Software
that contains crypto up for worldwide public downloading from a US site
provided one complies with some silly but not very onerous notification
requirements. Debian has an automated system for doing so, which is why
crypto is in main now.
