New Install Cannot Detect Network Card

Hi,

My first Linux experience was installing Debian 2.2r5 potato over a year ago. It seems to me the installation process has changed.

I've downloaded the unofficial cd images of Sarge. I want to install it on a Sony Laptop that is currently dual-boot Win98 and SuSE. I have a Windows partition, and three linux partitions /, /boot, and /home. I'd like to stick with that partitioning scheme and just have debian write over the SuSE stuff, if possible.

But first, I cannot get much of anywhere in the installer, because it does not detect my D-LINK DFE-650 pcmcia network card and asks me which module I want to load, asking for its full path. I tried pcnet_cs because I think that is the module this card uses, but I sure didn't know the full path and I got an error. But, I get an error no matter what I pick. I also am willing to skip the network card and just do the rest, but I apparently don't understand this installer, as I cannot figure out how to do that either. Even when I pick finish installation and reboot. Some filenames whiz by and then nothing happens. There is no reboot. And I'm back at the menu of 19 options.

I welcome any suggestions. Thanks.

Brian
