AFAIK, the main aim of developing microkernel was portability. And I
guess Linus proved that a monolithic kernel can also be portable
enough.
Tenebuam's book is still studied in many countries in the world in the
OS design course, but there are those who disagree with him.
My question is, after decades of flame, can't we just put an end to this
microkernel versus monolithic kernel debate?
