I've been running unstable for the past..... 3 years or so? Just to stay current. Over the weekend I installed the latest version of libranet. I must say that the good reviews I'd seen are well deserved. Seems that its based on sarge with a few backports (current kde, gnome, xfree) thrown in. Out of the box it looks pretty (good font anti aliasing, nice desktops). Had some nice touches like installing the non-free nvidia drivers automaticly (it asked first, i play games :) ), etc. Did an apt-get update; apt-get upgrade after install and updated a few packages from ftp.us.debian.org. So far its quite nice. I've tried lots of other distros over the years. They don't usually last more than a couple days before I get frustrated and go back to debian. The fact that I'm still happy says a lot :) So yes, its a 'commercial' distribution, but I'm fine with paying someone for this. :) And no I dont work for them...
