The weird thing is, I have successfully written a few
data cdroms before trying on Debian cds;
I now set the speed for a rw (in my case, 24) but it
still didn't work.
I didn't reboot before trying, though I did edit the
/etc/lilo.conf and ran lilo as the file recommends;
