cupsaddsmb problem

Hi, this is my first message to this group. I'm using debian for about a week
now (It was the only distro that passed the first boot stage...) and am very
pleased with the results. I spent alot of time setting up things and
installing the software and now, after many problems solved, i've got a real
weird one regarding SAMBA.
Basically I want to share my printer (on the linux box) with my 2nd computer
running winxp. All the shares are working fine and i'm able to move files
between the computers without any problem, but the cupsaddsmb app simply wont
pass the "Password for root required to access localhost via SAMBA" line no
matter what I input. I tried my root password no password changing passwords
with smbpasswd but nothing worked, it's always repeating that line again and
again.
I'm using Woody now working unstable.

TIA, Tal
