spamassassin errors

Ever since I did an apt-get upgrade last week (using Testing) I began
to notice large log files and  I am getting tons of errors in 
/var/log/mail.info, mail.log, and syslog like this:

May  1 10:02:07 steelhead spamd[7676]: Failed to run SUBJ_MISSING SpamAssassin

102. )  

dpkg -l shows this:   ii  spamassassin                  2.53-1

The PerMsgStatus.pm file exists in /usr/share/perl5/Mail/SpamAssasin

I don't know how to fix this.  Very little info on Google.
