You may find this excerpt from http://www.debian.org/devel/join/ interesting: Aside from package maintenance, you can contribute to Debian in a variety of ways. Testing packages, as well as reporting and fixing bugs, is a great help to us. You can also aid by writing good documentation, or doing web site maintenance. Translation (i18n & l10n), publicity, legal support... our Quality Assurance site lists several other possibilities. Also, I feel like helping people on debian-user is a worthwhile way to contribute small bits of free time to the project. Testing and good bug reporting may not sound glamorous, but that's one area that always needs it. good times, Vineet -- http://www.doorstop.net/ -- "As we enjoy great advantages from inventions of others, we should be glad of an opportunity to serve others by any invention of ours; and this we should do freely and generously." --Benjamin Franklin
