Of that works, your next step is to add the users who want to use the
audio driver to the 'audio' group (man adduser). Then, have the
user(s) logout and log back in. Now go ahead and learn what your
options are for audio applications. If you are using GNOME or KDE I
guess you get a bunch by default. I personally use xmms with esd
(yeah, I know it sucks) under a generic window manager (usually xfce
these days). Google away....
