Bug#188896: Clear security/critical bug support policy needed
Hi,
I submitted a bug report that requests establishing a security policy
for Debian Linux distributions. If you believe this issue is important,

Debian should establish a clear security/critical bug support policy
and post it on your support/security page where it's easy to find.
Having something like the following would be very helpful to all Debian
users (and developers):
"Debian's security/critical bugs policy for Debian Linux distributions
is to provide errata maintenance for 24 months (or whatever) from the
date of the release. End of Life dates for errata maintenance for
currently supported Debian products are listed below:
Debian GNU/Linux (woody) July 30, 2004?"
This way everyone knows what to expect well in advance and has enough
time to prepare, there are no surprises.
