Is there a board of directors or some other group you can end-run around the current decision to? I'm sure higher-ups would love to know thier subordinates are refusing to consider a more cost-effective solution.
I do not believe that this would work at all.First, end-runs aren't very popular and if you don't succeed, you're cannon fodder.
Second, what makes you think that the "higher-ups" won't fall into the same rut of only seeing Windows?
My experience has been that even in the light of saving $10,000's they still stutter when you talk about not using Windows anymore.
