Map characters in telnet program

Hi all,
I have installed in a Windows machine the netterm program 
that telnets to a HP-UX server and run some programs.
The netterm program have some F keys (F2, F3, ..., F12) 
configured to other values (]^...).
Where do I configure these in a machine running Linux and 
a xterm terminal?
bash, xterm?
