I just installed gnome2.2 (backported to woody) on my sarge machine.
Everything is working fine. Thanks to James for such a wonderful work.

I have a couple of questions:

  1. There are many themes included for gtk-2.0 How do I use them? In
     one of the docs, it mentioned to include the name of theme in
     ~/.gtkrc-2.0. I created one with that entry. Restarted X and no
     change was seen. Anything else to be set?

  2. art.gnome.org has some nice themes for nautilus. The nautilus docs 
     do not mention where to put them. Where should I unpack the tgz
     files and instruct nautilus2 to use it?

I was using kov's gnome2.0 packages on woody/sarge. Compared to
gnome2.0, gnome2.2 is a vast improvement. Kudos to the developers.
