APM and Linux Clock (WAS:Re: very slow Linux clock)

since I have remove the `Batterie Charge Monitor' applet
(Gnome2 under testing/unstable) the Linux clock is fine.

Is there a link between this aapplet (APM) and the Linux clock ?
