usb printer does not work with cups

Hi

sorry about my english

I try to print with a usb printer (HP psc 720) and the cupsys.

I activate usb in the kernel:
Feb 10 21:49:10 debian kernel: usb.c: registered new driver hid
Feb 10 21:49:10 debian kernel: hid-core.c: v1.8.1 Andreas Gal,
Vojtech Pavlik <vojtech@suse.cz>
Feb 10 21:49:10 debian kernel: hid-core.c: USB HID support drivers

with modprobe printer
I can see in lsmod the printer

In Cups I can configure the printer. Status is going to idle till I want to
test the printer... I get the message:
Unable to open USB port device file "/dev/usb/lp0": No such device

The device I can show with "l /dev/usb/"
Do you have an idea what i am doing wrong

Thanks
Marco
