cfdisk not working!

Hi there:

I want to repartition my hard disk, but when I try running cfdisk (and yes, I 
am root), I get an error message saying:

"Cannot create logFATAL ERROR: Bad logical partition 7: tended partitions
                          Press any key to exit cfdisk"

Any ideas on what this means? or any other way I can easily repartition my 
hard disk?
