ltmodem installation..

Hi,
   I've got a Dynalink 56k PCMCIA modem and it's a WinModem with a lucent
chipset in it. I know about the ltmodem kernel modules but have a few
questions:

1.   Are there approved (debianised) packages with ltmodem in 'em?
2.   Has anyone ever installed this package for PCMCIA use, do you have any
tips/wisdom to impart to me before I embark on the process?
